Dawn of the Derby Ark Valley High Rollers (AVHR) Home Team Mix-Up Bout, Saturday, October 31 @ 7pm

Get frightened and enlightened! The Devils and the Angels will be taking to the track to battle it out during the HUGE annual Halloween Bout on Saturday, October 31. Doors open at 6:00pm with the first whistle blowing at 7pm at the Chaffee County Fairgrounds.

A few guest skaters from around the state will be joining AVHR rounding out the teams but you'll be thrilled to see Danger Jane, Queen LaBeat-cha and R.I.P.er A New One tearing up the track too!

Get creative and come donning your best costume as there will be a costume contest with prizes being awarded to the best adult, best youth and overall MVP! We will have a "Circle of Doom" where all children will be given goodies as well!

A portion of ticket sales will go to benefit The Boys and Girls Club of Chaffee County. What is the Boys & Girls Club?

  • An after school & summer youth development program for grades 1-12 in Salida and K-8 in Buena Vista
  • A positive place for kids to be together in a safe secure environment, have impactful opportunities and experiences, gain recognition, form supportive relationships and have fun!
  • It’s primary goals are to increase academic success, learn and practice healthy lifestyles, and develop good character and citizenship.

What is the Club’s mission? To enable all youth to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

Pre-sale tickets are $10 and will be sold at Moonlight Pizza & Brewpub and Cafe Dawn. Kids ten and under will get in free! Tickets will be available at the door for $13.

A Halloween themed bake sale and libations for those 21+ will be on hand! Eddy Out Grille will be serving up delicious food so come hungry!

Come out and support the skaters in their final bout of the 2015 season, it will be SPOOKTACULAR!

ABOUT THE ARK VALLEY HIGH ROLLERS The Ark Valley High Rollers (AVHR) are an all-female owned and operated flat track roller derby league comprised of skaters in the Arkansas Valley Area of Colorado. Through the sport of roller derby, the mission of AVHR is to develop and amplify the athleticism, wisdom, courage and fortitude of its skaters.
