Salida Planned Parenthood Seeks Donations to Giving Tree

This holiday season, Planned Parenthood is asking the Salida community to give the gift of safe, healthy relationships! We know that access to affordable, non-judgemental health care is critical to building a strong community, and Planned Parenthood is an integral part of that in Chaffee County. In 2015, we provided:

  • 459 STD screenings
  • 413 breast and cervical cancer screenings
  • 1,242 months worth of birth control

We are committed to providing individual, caring, personalized health care regardless of our patients’ ability to pay. While we accept most insurance plans, we also strive to be accessible and affordable for the uninsured or underinsured members of our community. That’s why we created the Giving Tree! In our Salida health center, we have a tree with ornaments that Chaffee County residents can use to sponsor services for Planned Parenthood patients, including:

  • Pregnancy tests
  • Birth control
  • STD tests
  • Breast Exams
  • Well Woman Exams with Pap Smears
  • IUDs
  • And more!

Folks should stop in to the health center at 233 E. 2nd on Mondays between 11 am – 2 PM, Tuesdays from 9 AM – 5 PM, or Fridays from 9 AM –4 PM or call 719-593-7291 to check out the Giving Tree! Donations can also be made online at
