350 Central Colorado Environmental Film Screenong
**350 Central Colorado Film Presentation “Bag It”** 350 Central Colorado is hosting another award-winning environmental documentary, _Bag It_, at First Presbyterian Church, 7 Poncha Blvd. at 6 p.m. on Dec. 10th. The average American uses about 500 plastic bags each year - for about twelve minutes each. This single-use mentality has led to the formation of a floating island of plastic debris in the Pacific Ocean estimated to be more than twice the size of Texas. The film explores that aspect of plastic bag use and identifies how our daily reliance on plastic threatens not only waterways and marine life, but human health as well. Two of the most common plastic additives are endocrine disruptors, which have been shown to possibly link to cancer, diabetes, autism, attention deficit disorder, obesity and infertility.
_ Bag It_ will be shown at 6 p.m. Thursday Dec. 10th at First Presbyterian Church, 7 Poncha Blvd. (Third St. and Poncha, near Safeway). A free will donation of $5 is suggested. Refreshments will be provided.
