GARNA-led snowshoe hike to Browns Creek Falls

Join GARNA for an intermediate-level snowshoe hike to Browns Creek Falls. The trail follows the creek and wanders through aspen and lodgepole pine forests and ends at the stunning ice formations at the falls. The round trip distance is 6.1 miles, with 850 foot elevation gain with the most taking place in first 1.5 miles. Total travel time will be between 4-5 hours. Browns Creek Falls is located west of US 285 in the Nathrop area off of CR 270.

The hike will be led by Marsha Brown and Michael Fischer, GARNA members and experienced snowshoers, hikers and backpackers. Marsha and Michael have hiked and snowshoed this trail many times as it is in their backyard. Ben Lara, Recreation and Lands Staff for the San Isabel National Forest, Salida Ranger District will join the group as well.
