Salida High School will partner with the Salida Sunrise Rotary and the Chaffee County Economic Development Corporation (CCEDC) to host the 3rd Annual Salida High School Job Fair. The School District is inviting employers and professionals to participate in the Job Fair, and wants to have local businesses see the District as a community partner in developing the workforce. In addition, employers and professionals can play a significant role in providing students with paid work experience and on the job training through the Cooperative Education Program (COOP).

Work experience is for employers wishing to hire a student for summer employment. Youth are able to be employed with their parent or guardians consent as young as fourteen (14) for certain types of nonhazardous work. The Job Fair will also allow students to obtain On the Job Training and mentorship which is typically non paid or comes with a modest stipend, for the student who is interested in training and career development in the field they have identified through career assessment at the high school. Students will need copies of resume's, dress appropriately, and be ready to interview.
