Art Show to help benefit Scout Hut
Ten local professional and creative artists will be featured at an art show and 25% of their sales will benefit the restoration of the Scout Hut. This art show is sponsored by the Salida Sunrise Rotary Club and the City of Salida with assistance from the Salida Council for the Arts.
The Art show will be on Saturday, August 13, from 12:00 p.m. -9:00 p.m. at the Scout Hut at Riverside Park. The artwork featured will be oil, acrylic and plein air paintings by Laura Barton, Cary Carlson, David LaVercome and John Russell; fine art photographic images by Carol Cartwright and Beth Grimes; jewelry design and Chan Loo bracelet demos by Cheryl Tischer; pottery by Mark Rittmann; functional fine art by Tammy Grubisha; and jewelry by Judy Hoch of Marstal Smithy. Tina Gramann will do a chalk art creation, and provide face painting and crafts for children between 3:00 and 6:00pm. Live music will be provided by chapman stick artist David Tipton; harpist Maryanne Rozzi; and solo guitarist Scott Adams. Refreshments will be provided throughout the afternoon, with a cash bar reception starting at 4:00 p.m. This show complements the Creative District Second Saturday art tour.
