18th annual Monarch Crest Crank ride and party- Sunday, September 18
Join your fellow mountain bike enthusiasts on Sunday, September 18 for the annual ride benefiting the Alliance Against Domestic Abuse to raise funds for its' programs that empower survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault through education, social change, and services including a 24 hour crisis line, emergency shelter, and crisis intervention and support for women and men suffering domestic abuse.
Registration includes light breakfast, the ride on the famed Monarch Crest Trail, shuttle, guides, and the legendary party in Riverside Park after the ride.
Packet pick up and in-person registration at Salida Bike Company on Saturday, September 17 from 5:00pm-8:00pm.
Rider check-in and breakfast starts at 7:30am on Sunday, September 18 at Salida Bike Company with shuttle load up immediately following.
Everyone invited to the free after party in Riverside Park from 12:00pm to 5:00pm. Join us for an afternoon of fun including food and drink for sale, and a competitive silent auction featuring vacation stays, rafting trips, bicycling gear, and bike-inspired art by local artists Jess Vogel, Jimmie Descant, Lynn Van de Water, Michael Haynes, Lindsay Sutton, Mark Rittmann, and Brink Messick.
Enjoy live music by local band Big Meadow, “Organically grown Americana from Salida, Colorado; a blend of Americana, alternative folk, and hard driving Traditional music," composed of singer/songwriter Matthew Coen on vocals, guitar, didgeridoo and fiddlesticks; Andrea Coen on fiddle, banjo, vocals and viola; Rich Longberg on bass and cello and Dave Bokel on drums and vocals.
