Salida Mountain Trails Host April ShinDig

edited April 2015 in Events

The ShinDig for April will take place Saturday the 11th and will focus on the new Sweet Dreams trail. Also known as South Backbone or Sweetwater, this trail contours the hill side from Cottonwood Gulch to Sweetwater Gulch. A couple of reroutes still need to be built as well as general trail work. Please meet at the F-street Bridge at 9am. After the trail work, at approximately 1:00pm, a free lunch will be provided to the volunteers at Subculture Cyclery. As usual, come prepared with water, gloves, long pants and sturdy boots. Tools will be provided.

  • Thanks so much for laying out these trail volunteer opportunities. As you know, many motorized folks do their best to help spring clean and maintain trails - both non-motorized and motorized. I would like to pass along your message ... and it would be helpful to know if any of these volunteer opportunities apply to trails that also include single and/or two track for motorized?
