I was not paid thousands of dollars to offer my opinion on the SGM report. I offered my input and my research absolutely free of charge…

I am appreciative for artists who help to raise this kind of dialogue, and as a long time friend, I will defend Jimmy as one of the most passionate peace promoters I know. But, as a parent, the two most important people in my life walk in those doors every morning.

hill: The Salida School District board moved to a four-day week last year.
tree: No, duh…er…why was that again?
hill: In part to save money.
tree: Did it save money?
hill: Yes, about 225,000 clams. I believe this would way one ton.
stack: cheese and rice, that’s a lot a’ clams!

The state Constitution was amended in 1902, 1912, and 1970 to allow cities and towns to become self-governing entities rather than requiring oversight by the state – that is the essence of being Home Rule.

I am writing to express my strong endorsement for both Bond Initiatives 3C and 3A to match each District’s BEST grant award to replace aging school buildings in Chaffee County. State BEST grant funds do not come from taxpayer revenue, but rather from the revenues from our State Land Board funds.
