Citizens for Huerfano County (CHC) filed a formal protest on September 12, 2011 with the Bureau of Land Management against BLM’s proposed lease on November 10, 2011 of over 8,000 acres of mineral rights in Huerfano County for oil and gas development.

Race organizers for the USA Pro Cycling Challenge announced Tuesday that the race will return to Colorado in 2012 and is about to begin accepting bids from host cities, including Boulder.
