The inaugural USA Pro Cycling Challenge is only 1 week away! There will be many fun and exciting events in Chaffee County – the start of Stage 1 in Salida on August 23 and then Stage 2 on August 24 as the race goes over Cottonwood Pass thru Buena Vista en route to the finish in Aspen.
On August 1, 2011 68 anxious cyclists departed from the Indian Creek Trailhead just west of Denver, Colo. Packed for the worst while hoping for the best: Riders were in for an epic singletrack journey of a lifetime. Local Salidian crushes it on a “single speed.”
As you’ve heard by now, there is a pro cycling event passing through our community in two weeks. We want to show the country and the world that we’re an active community. We’re requesting your organization or business’s presence at the LiveWell presents “Salida Moves” the morning of the race.
