The Ad Hoc Committee for Friday Enrichment Days seeks community members to participate in a community gathering to assure that Fridays during the Salida Public Schools academic year are a day of enrichment, fun and learning. A community gathering will be take place from 5 to 6:30 pm, July 27 at the Salida Community Center.

Potentially 1,174 students from these three schools will be walking to school on Wednesday, October 6th along with parents, teachers and community leaders. Salida Mayor Chuck Rose will be greeting students at Longfellow Elementary and handing out prizes to those who walk or bike to school.

We are a composite team of high school students from Salida, Buena Vista, and the Link School. We are two weeks into the season with 30 kids participating.

The Ruby Mountain Day School is a Waldorf-inspired school that will follow Colorado State Standards while providing a child-centered environment that engages and nurtures students mentally, physically, and emotionally.
