A Wishing Tree to benefit shelter dogs will be up at Gone to the Dogs beginning Monday, November 21st. The holiday tree is decorated with photo ornaments of the current resident dogs at Ark Valley Humane Society.

Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center will host a reception on Thursday, December 1, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. for the four artists whose work has been featured in the hospital’s rotating art exhibits this year.

The Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center Auxiliary will host a bake and craft sale on Friday, November 18, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (or until sold out). The sale will be held at the Masonic Lodge, Third and G Streets, in Salida.

Angel of Shavano electronic recycling Nov 15 behind the pool(0)

Today, Nov. 15 there will be electronic recycling by Metech Recycling and the Salida Recreation Department at the site behind the pool. Angel of Shavano Recycling will also be there from 11:00 to 3:30 answering questions about the new plastic recycling sorting, and pretty much anything else anyone wants to know about the program.
