The 2011 Colorado Sustainable Design Awards competition has selected Salida’s Trailside neighborhood as one of three finalists in the sustainable communities category. The award is given each year to an outstanding project which meets the criteria of “innovative, forward-looking, sustainable design which celebrates the active outdoor lifestyle of Colorado”.

I hit a spell recently when I was feeling lots of confusion. I felt confused about almost everything having to do with me, my life and how I was living it. Feelings of fear and wonder associated with self-doubt, my judgments about my abilities to navigate the world, my inability to feel connected to myself and to know what to do about breaking out of the eddy I seemed to be living in.

which will be facilitated by Patty LaTaille, Certified Mediator and NVC Instructor. All classes will be held downstairs at the Salida Library on Wednesday evenings from 7 – 8:30 p.m. beginning Sept. 14.
