Progress is never easy but it is always a worthy cause to fight for. LiveWell Chaffee County focuses on policy, environmental and lifestyle changes that remove barriers and increase access to healthy behaviors for citizens of our community. LWCC aims to provide everyone with access to local, healthy foods and opportunities for physical activity in the places they live, work, learn and play. In 2012, LiveWell Chaffee County and its partners made great and successful strides for the people of Chaffee County.

    On Monday, May 13 at approximately 11:30 a.m. at the Chaffee County Courthouse in Salida, FRRA will present to the County Commissioners on the accomplishments of the survey.

  • Four School Board seats open in Nov., informational Open House – May 14

    The current Salida School Board members are taking this transition seriously and looking to begin the transition now. Efforts will begin on May 14 with an open house from 5:15 to 6:00 pm prior to the monthly school board meeting. The intention is to meet potential candidates, explain the process of applying, outline the role and work of board members, and answer questions.
