Walking the Walk

Last week we had Friday Enrichment’s first “holistic” provider meeting. I sat around the table with 13 providers who give their hearts, souls, and an abundance of energy to this community, and for that, I am thankful! We discussed what is working for Friday Enrichment, and what is not working.

Bouldin presents Vietnam travelogue – Wed, Nov 19

Forest Service offers free trees

Coloradans who are interested in conservation goals such as creating natural windbreaks, improving wildlife habitat or reforesting properties impacted by wildfire or floods are eligible to purchase the low-cost seedlings. CSFS Nursery Manager Josh Stolz says Colorado-grown species are adaptable, hardy and ideal for a variety of conservation uses.

Council to consider 2A ordinance – Mon and Tues

This may be one of the more important decisions the city council makes this year. The topic will be discussed in a work session at 6pm on Monday, November 17. Council will consider the issue during the regular council meeting on Tuesday, November 17.

Salida Rec relay fun run – Sat, Nov 22

Registration will be held from 9:00 – 9:30 am at the amphitheater at Riverside Park and costs $3 for Chaffee County Running Club members and $5 for non-members. Make checks payable to C.C.R.C. Teams will be chosen by random drawing at 9:30am. Two minute head starts will be given to all female runners, any runner 60 years old or older, and any runner under 14 years of age.
