Lori Mitchell – best qualified for county clerk

I want to go on record as endorsing Lori Mitchell for the office of Chaffee County Clerk. I have known Lori for thirty-four years, first as a teacher, coach and counselor at Salida High School, and since then as a friend. Lori is intelligent, personable, honest, reliable, enthusiastic and willing to work the long hours needed for the position of Chaffee County Clerk.

Her integrity is beyond reproach. A fourth generation Chaffee County resident, Lori has worked effectively in the County Clerk’s office for three years, and is currently Chief Deputy Clerk.. She brings excellent communication skills to this position, combining her lifelong knowledge of the county and its residents with her Journalism degree from Colorado State University.

Since joining the County Clerk’s office, she has become a Colorado Certified Election Official.

The Clerk’s duties require filing a wide variety of court records, overseeing employees, organizing voter registration, and scheduling and conducting elections. Lori understands the importance of keeping accurate records and of dealing congenially with the public. I believe she is the person best qualified to be our next County Clerk, and I urge you to vote for Lori Mitchell!
