The third annual season of Colorado Symphony concerts in Salida–presented by KHEN Community Radio–will kick off with a gala fundraiser party on Thur. Oct. 2 at 5:30 pm in the SteamPlant Ballroom.
The public is invited to this extra-special event, which will feature a rare performance by renowned concert pianist and Colo. Symphony Resident Conductor Scott O’Neil in person.
There also will be catered hors d’oeuvres; cash bar; a prize raffle plus MEGA silent auction (bargains include Broncos and Symphony tickets, art, food and wine, professional services, valuable merchandise and gift certificates galore); and a chance to meet and greet Symphony leadership. Admission is free–although a $5 donation will be appreciated to help defray expenses.
This event also will be the first and only opportunity to purchase advance season tickets at a $20 discount. The 2014-15 Symphonic Salida season will feature four SteamPlant concerts–on Oct. 23, Jan. 22, Mar. 19 and June 28. At the kickoff party only, advance season tickets are just $60 for all four Salida performances (less than the cost of a single concert in Denver!)
For the third year in a row, Salida is the only city outside of Denver to be honored with regular performances by the Colo. Symphony. The upcoming season is expected to be a complete sellout; so music lovers are strongly urged to get advance season tickets at the kickoff party to avoid disappointment.
