Mitchell has experience and dedication

Experience and dedication = Lori Mitchell for Chaffee County Clerk and Recorder.

I first met Lori Mitchell when she was the Salida Golf Course Pro and created an “introduction to golf” class which both my children had the good fortune of taking.

Guess who was the teacher when, in May 2011, I joined Salida Women’s Golf Association? Yup – Lori Mitchell. She was as generous, patient and instructional with the adult women as she was with my children and their friends. After graduating CSU, she was an assistant golf professional and was the first woman PGA member from the State of Colorado. She opened a multi-million dollar facility and managed over 35 employees. She continues to be a leader in the golf community with her generous spirit, camaraderie and leadership.

Lori is a fourth generation Chaffee County resident who has proven her commitment to our community. In August 2011, I remember how excited and ready to serve she was when hired at her current position in the Clerk and Recorder’s office. Lori has proven she loves her job and has gone above and beyond in that position. She has trained to be a Certified Colorado Election Official. She enjoys helping administer both general and coordinated elections along with municipal, special district and school board elections. Lori even assists other Colorado counties with their election preparedness.

Talk to her about her vision for the future including departmental cross training; building better relationships with citizens and community partners; embracing employee input; and mapping all departments to trim work steps for better service and cost savings for Chaffee County.

Most importantly, Lori is running because she knows all of us in Chaffee County need a qualified County Clerk – a committed public servant who will maintain the integrity and efficiency of the office.

There is one, and only one, qualified candidate. I am proud to vote for the qualified candidate.

Vote Lori Mitchell for Chaffee County Clerk and Recorder.
