HRRMC expands women’s services

Cheryl Edwards, M.D., has joined the medical staff at Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center. Dr. Edwards is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and will provide gynecology services at the HRRMC Medical Clinics, 550 W. Highway 50, Salida.

She is relocating to Salida from Casper, Wyoming, where she had her own practice. She has also practiced in Michigan, where she taught medical residents from Michigan State University, and in Nevada, where she was in private practice for 10 years.

“Our community is very fortunate to have Dr. Edwards, a board-certified gynecologist, provide services locally to meet our women’s health needs,” said hospital CEO Bob Morasko. “She will be a great addition to the hospital and community.”

Dr. Edwards earned her medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C.

Dr. Edwards will provide annual exams, birth control, gynecologic surgery and menopause management. To make an appointment, call 719-530-2000.
