Pick your own carrots at the Salida School Garden – Sat, Nov 22

Guidestone’s Salida School Garden, Pick Your Own Thanksgiving Carrots! Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014, 10-12

The Salida School Garden Salida – Holman Ave. adjacent to the dog park and soccer fields.

This Saturday November 22nd, from 9:00-12:00, come support the Salida School Garden and join us to pick your own Thanksgiving Carrots! The school garden has had a successful year, and we still have rows and rows of tasty carrots; including cosmic purples, scarlet nantes and boleros. All of these varieties are great for eating fresh, making into delicious Thanksgiving dishes, and for storing to enjoy throughout winter. Fun carrot recipes will also be available! Carrots are $2/lb. Bring your own box or bag to carry your bounty home. Share in the abundance, support Guidestone’s Farm to School Initiative at the Salida

School Gardens, and walk away prepared for your holiday feasts!

Additionally, Moonlight Pizza is supporting Guidestone through ‘Moonlight Monday’ on the 24th. Ten percent of all proceeds made that day will be donated to Guidestone to help support their programs. If you’d like to learn more about Guidestone’s work, come chat with a Guidestone staff person during happy hour from 4-6pm. So come on out on the 24th and get yourself a tasty pie!
