Planned Parenthood Offers Free STD Screenings April 23-27
Planned Parenthood in Salida will be offering free STD screenings April 23rd through 27th. The screening includes tests for Chlamyida, Gonorrhea, and HIV. If patients are interested in further testing for Herpes, Hepatitis B and C, or Syphillis, these tests will be offered at a discounted rate.
Appointments are not required but are encouraged. Available times and dates are:
Monday, April 23 from 11 AM – 6 PM
Tuesday, April 24 from 9 AM – 3 PM
Friday, April 27 from 9 AM – 5 PM
Screenings for STDs are recommended on a yearly basis, regardless of relationship status. Many people do not show symptoms of STDs, and 1 in 2 sexually active people will contract an STD before age 25. That’s why screening is so important.
Interested parties can call 719-539-7291 to make an appointment. Screenings will also be offered on a walk-in basis.
