Guidestone Colorado is Planting a Barn and Growing a Dome!

edited July 2019 in Events

Guidestone Colorado is thrilled to share two exciting projects that support a vision of expanded agricultural education and production in Chaffee County. The week of August 5th will see both the construction of a 42’ diameter geodesic grow dome at the Community & School Farm on Holman Avenue, and the raising of The Guidestone Barn at Hutchinson Ranch!

Want to participate in the action? The community is invited to both the barn raising and the dome construction. Please come join us!

August 5th through 9th are “Dome Growing Days” at the Community & School Farm, located at 1455 Holman Ave in Salida. The dome will be constructed throughout the week. Come watch our progress or sign up to volunteer by emailing [email protected].

August 7th is “Barn Planting Day” at the Hutchinson Ranch, located at 6700 Old Corral Rd in Salida. The timber frame will go up in one day! Come check out the action!

Visit to learn more about the projects, read our story, watch our video, and donate. Matching funds are available through the end of August, so you can double your impact! Let’s see what we can do when we come together as a community to achieve something as big as a barn and as productive as a grow dome!
