Announcing Salida Community Grants Application!

The Chaffee County Community Foundation (CCCF) is announcing the opening of the application process for organizations interested in applying to the City of Salida’s Community Grants program.

The City of Salida Council members have entered into a partnership with CCCF to bring more consistency, transparency, and impartiality to their community grants process. For 2020, CCCF has built an online application through which organizations can quickly and consistently request town support. CCCF will form a community grants review committee to review, rank, and conduct site visits with applicants. This committee will then submit their funding recommendations to the City Council for approval.

The online application is “live” as of Thursday, November 21st, 2019 and has a deadline of Friday, December 20th, 2019. Applications will be reviewed and site visits conducted in January, with funding being awarded by the end of March, 2020. Organizations who have a dedicated line item of support within the City’s 2020 budget will also need to apply through the portal and receive funding on the same timeline. These line-item support organizations however are not competing for funds since the City has already allocated a specific amount for each. Instead, the intent in having them apply and report is to provide accountability and touch points.

The application portal is the same portal being used by the Marijuana Excise Tax Advisory Board (METAB), the 1A Common Ground Citizens Advisory Committee, and the Town of Buena Vista for their grants. Therefore, organizations who have already created a profile on the portal can use their same login to access the City of Salida Community Grants application.

The portal can also be accessed through CCCF’s website: https://www.chaffeecommunity.org/and clicking on the Grantmaking link under “What We Do”.

Or you may use the direct portal link: https://www.grantinterface.com/Home/Logon?urlkey=ccgrants
