2017 Community Funding Program - City of Salida
The City is delighted to announce the community grant program will be reinstated for the 2017 fiscal year.
The City has supported the community by providing financial resources to non-governmental organizations for special projects that supplement municipal government operations and enhance quality of life for residents. For example, over twenty non-profit organizations received funds totaling nearly $30,000 during 2015 and nearly $68,000 in 2014 from the City’s general fund operating budget.
The process for an organization to request community funding will be similar to previous years; however, there will only be one funding cycle in 2017. The deadline for funding applications is 4:00 P.M. on Friday, February 10, 2017. Any applications received after the deadline will not be considered for funding in 2017.
In addition, the application requirements and expectations have been revised to ensure that the programs and projects funded in 2017 make an effective, measurable and positive impact on the community. The anticipated budget for the 2017 community funding program is up to $30,000 in awards, spread over three categories.
