Wild & Scenic Film Festival 2015 coming to Salida & Buena Vista
[The Greater Arkansas River Nature Association and the Land Trust of the Upper Arkansas are partnering to bring the Wild & Scenic Film Fest 2015, a world-renowned tour of the latest, cutting-edge environmental films, to Salida on March 5 at the Salida Steamplant Theater and the Buena Vista Community Center on March 13. The event will benefit GARNA and LTUA and includes 20 environmental and adventure films with unique films shown each night. Both evenings promise an “incredible selection of films to change your world.” Considered one of the nation’s premiere environmental and adventure film festivals, this year’s films combine stellar film making, beautiful cinematography and first-rate storytelling.
Feature films:
Salida – The Little Things is a snowboard documentary based on environmentally conscious riders who are inspirational through their riding as well as their sustainable ways of living and thinking.
Buena Vista – Drawn merges film and illustration and transports you on four journeys, from the Venezuelan Amazon, to the China-Mongolian Border, to the northern reaches of Canada, and closer to home in the Yosemite Valley as Jeremy Collins embarks on an epic voyage to honor a beloved friend.
Films will be shown from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and drinks, pizza and popcorn will be available. Ticket prices start at $10 with membership incentive. Buy tickets soon - last year we sold out!

The Salida showing is one week from today - Thursday, March 5. These films are great for inspiring kids as well! Youth 18 and under tickets are just $5.
