You are invited to register now for our February 2020 Writers Workshop happening on Saturday, February 1st, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (8:30 a,m, check-in!) at the Methodist Church in Salida, Colorado. Details here and at www.CCWritersExchange.org.

FACILITATOR: Laurel McHargue, Award-winning author, 1983 graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Laurel writes in many genres and hosts the podcast Alligator Preserves in which she tells stories and discusses the human condition. She's aslo been known to act.

TOPIC: "The Novel Novel" - Laurel will guide participants through every aspect of creating a publishable novel/novella—from the initial generation of a fertile idea to the nitty-gritty details of populating the metadata.

After this full-day workshop, you will know how to:

Generate ideas for you book
Understand novel length and genre specification
Organize your chapters
Develop your story arcs (in chapters and overall)
Develop your characters
Research methods for characters and plot
Select Metadata and acquire ISBNs and PCNs
