GARNA Thursday Lecture Series: Salida History, February 13

February 13, Greater Arkansas River Nature Association will be continuing their Thursday Lecture series with a jump to the past. Come listen to Steve Chapman as he tells tales about Salida’s colorful history and gives an introduction to his new book: Blood, Booze, and Whores, The History of Salida, Colorado, Volume 1, 1880-1881. Salida’s history is long and exciting and Steve Chapman, local historian, has dedicated a lot of his time to conveying and sharing the stories of Salida’s history through his Walking Tours and now, his new book series. The program will be held on Thursday, February 13 from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall at the First Presbyterian Church of Salida, 7 Poncha Blvd. The cost of the program is $3 for GARNA members, $6 for non-members.
