Jenkinson to appear as John Wesley Powell, fund raiser for Central Colorado Humanists Scholarships
Humanities scholar, author, and historical reenactor, Clay Jenkinson, will perform at the Salida Steam Plant at 3PM on Saturday, June 25. Jenkinson will appear in the role of John Wesley Powell, war hero, explorer, scientist, and visionary. Powell is famous for his 1869 Geographic Expedition that included exploration of the Green and Colorado Rivers and the first passage through the Grand Canyon by a non-native. The event is sponsored by the Central Colorado Humanists and is a fund raiser for their scholarship fund.
