Roller Derby Action on Track Saturday, August 29 @ the Chaffee County Fairgrounds
The Ark Valley High Rollers (AVHR) are bringing fast-paced flat track roller derby action back to the Chaffee County Fairgrounds when they take on the FoGo Girls Gone Derby from Fort Collins, CO!
On Saturday, August 29, AVHR and FoCo will go head to head with the first whistle blowing at 7pm. These two teams have a long-time friendly rivalry that will undoubtedly make for a lot of thrills and spills on the track. Natty Dread Lock and Merry Skankster will be on track shutting down the opposing jammers along with your heavy hitters, Nacho and Smash'er 2 Smithereens. Shook Me All Night and Strawberry STOMP Cake will be showing off amazing footwork as they juke their way through the pack.
A hot dog bar, bake sale for all and libations for those 21 and older will be available!
Pre-sale tickets can be purchased in Salida at Moonlight Pizza and Café Dawn for $10 or $13 at the door. Free admission for children 10 and under. A portion of these proceeds will be donated to the Salida Circus. Since Feb 2007, the Salida Circus has kept busy performing at events throughout Colorado, New Mexico, California and even Central America! After the conclusion of the roller derby bout, the Ark Valley High Rollers invite fans to join them at Currents in beautiful downtown Salida to meet and mingle and for some dancing and libations!
