Go Fund me set up for Hayden Pass Fire evacuaees
A Go Fund me account has been set up to help the evacuees of the Hayden Pass Fire according to Julie Bates of the Howard Volunteer Fire Department.
She said non-perishable items are welcome if anyone wishes to donate, but the biggest help is the donation of cash to be able to help the evacuees when they return home. Clothing is not needed at this time.
"Right now we have quite a bit of food, especially to feed the people coming in, and we have lots of stuff to give them," she said. "The Go Fund Me would really help because we might have to use some of that money to buy more food when they can go back home; they are going to need money to resupply all of the things they have lost. Their electricity was out for a while, and they will lose stuff in their refrigerator or freezer."
Those wishing to donate my do so at the GoFundMe website, /www.gofundme.com/haydenpassfire, or checks may be mailed to the Howard Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 154, Howard, CO 81233. For more information, or to find out what supplies may be needed in coming days, call (719) 942-3082.
