Monarch Ski Bus Service Cancelled for December 15-16, 2017

MONARCH SKI BUS!! Salida Recreation has cancelled bus service to Monarch Mountain for the first weekend of the season, December 15-16, 2017 due to warm weather and early season conditions. We will keep an eye on the weather pattern and expect to begin service Friday, December 22, 2017 pending new snow and better skiing conditions. Once service begins, the bus will leave the Aquatic Center at 9am SHARP and leave Monarch at 3:30pm, to return to the Aquatic Center at 4pm. The bus will run Fridays and Saturdays only for the season. New departure time: Beginning January 1, 2018 all buses leave from the Salida Hot Springs Aquatic Center, 410 W Hwy 50, at 8:30am SHARP. Cost $5. As a courtesy to those who are on time, we will not wait for people who are late going to or coming from the mountain. Each rider is required to SIGN A NEW LIABILITY WAIVER for the 2017/2018 season. If you are under the age of 18 and plan to ride the bus, you’ll need to have your parents sign a waiver prior to the bus departure time. Please be aware kids will be on their own once we get to the mountain. Please be certain that they can handle the responsibility of taking care of themselves at the mountain and getting back on the bus by 3:30pm. To ensure a ride, reservations can be made in person with payment at the Salida Hot Springs Pool, or with a credit card over the phone before the date you would like to ride. Without a reservation, riders will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. THE BUS NEEDS A MINIMUM OF 5 RIDERS to DEPART. All ages; children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
